Sad day

Thursday, May 24th, 2007

I could not sleep much last night.  My B is going on a well-deserved vacation tonight, flying out to Italy, but I cannot help myself feeling sad.  She organized a whole crew of caretakers for me, so that I won’t be by myself one day.  So sweet, but I really would prefer her.  I get a bit lonely when she is not around and while I like others staying or visiting me, none of them has that B smell that I like.  I wish they would allow me to travel with her.

So, tonight, Mariah is coming to stay with me for a night.  Then Saturday and Sunday, my old buddy Eric is coming by and Monday, Mariah will be back for the rest of the week.  Eric is actually a lot of fun.  He plays catch with me and I get so riled up that I end up sleeping soundly once he leaves.  I still have to see how Mariah will be doing, since this is her first time being involved in a Sadie adventure.

Well, I hope B will have a nice vacation and won’t like the Italian kittens very much.  last time, she went away she met another kitten and played with him.  I was not too happy about that.  I prefer to be the only Mauser in her life.

Go Buffalos!

I wish I could have been here to help my sisters out.

Crazy about mamals

Wednesday, May 23rd, 2007

Thanks to Kip, I am now fully convinced that all Germans are crazy about animals, which is a very good thing, in my personal and humble feline opinion.

Immigration news

Tuesday, May 22nd, 2007

So, the monthly check that B does for updates in processing times, resulted in another set back this month.  Apparently, the agency went backwards and now they are processing August 2006, when last month, they reported to process September 2006.  It is very aggravating for B.  Especially since she was hoping to get some good news before her vacation time.  But, as I have been trying to communicate to her, she just has to be patient and not let it get to her.  My advise is not working very well.  She is a kind of a cinder block when it comes to listening.

My caretaker

Monday, May 14th, 2007

B and I have been spending lots of "quality" time together over the last two weeks.  Kip is busy with out of town conferences and us girls use this time to snuggle, snuggle, snuggle… I think yesterday I spent about 2 hours on B’s lap.  We watched "Blood Diamond".  B said that this Leo guy used to be really cute when he was on TV in his teens, but I just don’t see it.  He looks like a boy with a man’s body.  Anyway… I am loving my time with B.

In ten days, my lovelies are going to Italy.  At first I was a bit peeved that I was excluded, but B says that I cannot get a visa for another country.  I would have to sit in some lonely animal place for a couple weeks before they even let me out.  And since I don’t speak Italian, this would really suck.  So, I am staying home and I will be in CHARGE.  At least that is what B said.  She also lined up a caretaker for me.

Mariah… Mariah… Mariah… maybe we can sing "West Side Story together".  I love that name.  Ok, Mariah has an "h" at the end of her name and that means that her name is pronounced differently, but since I don’t like to talk much anyway, I think I will be alright.

Mariah visited on Saturday to learn all about me.  The first meeting went well, I think.  She smelled good and she let me rub myself over her legs.  B showed her where my food was and I made sure she knows how many Greenies I get every day.  (B promised me a couple extras since she feels guilty leaving me behind.)

I wonder if Mariah lets me go into the bathroom with her.  I love seeing people in the shower… NAKED! and I hate it when doors are closed.  B says that Mariah is very nice and I should behave myself.  I am going to be on my best behavior - at least, at first.  One thing I have to watch out, though, Mariah is a runner (in fact she ran the Boston Marathon in almost under 2 hours!) and she will probably able to catch me when I try to sneak out the door.  B is a slow pow and I can always get away… Ha!

New furniture

Monday, May 7th, 2007

This was an utterly exciting weekend for a small creature like myself.  People came and went to see us - specifically B, but I’d like to think that she could not do it without me.

First we got a new mattress.  Since the bed frame did not get delivered at the same time, the mattress was put against the window.  That window is my favorite place to hang out when the sun shines and I was a bit ticked off when B did not take that into consideration when telling the delivery guys where to put the mattress.  Thus, I had no choice, but to climb the thing.  I felt like "tigress of the world" up there, but B was not too happy complaining that my claws my ruin the fabric.  I was expelled from the room.  And later on my claws were cut. Tsk!

I’d say we charge him for indecent public exposure.

Feline Femism

Thursday, May 3rd, 2007

B can be quite the little hardy feminist when she wants to.  She taught me well, because I am currently grooving to this little number.  And I would not need keys to scratch.

Citizenship test

Tuesday, May 1st, 2007

B is all huffy puffy about her Green card again.  Her approval should come through this month and she has been reading up on things in the immigration forums.  She will have to make the INS aware of her move when it takes the place.  This ‘migration people like to keep track of their legal aliens.  (I love that phrase.)

While we patiently wait with B for her approval, we may as well keep ourselves busy and all take the citizenship test here.  I got 6 out of 10.  Those things are hard.
