Why felines are better!

Monday, April 30th, 2007

I am not a big fan of dogs, even though B is and she desperately wants to get one.  I think they are needy, want always attention, needs their humans to survive and need to be walked to poop.  How lame!  Well, if you are not convinced yet, watch this.  We felines would never lower ourselves to the level of this Pug.

INS update

Friday, April 27th, 2007

Great news from the INS site.  The current process date for B’s type of Green card application is September 14th, 2006.  B filed in early October.  One more month… one more month… one more month.  I should start thinking about a special congratulatory rub for her.

Nora

Thursday, April 26th, 2007

As my loyal readers know, I care much about feline achievements.  Thus, today, I’d like to present you with Nora, who is a lovely (but a little bit heavy) feline who enjoys playing the piano.  I hope you take the time to watch her use her limber paws and opposable thumb to play the most lovely notes.  I personally enjoy seeing how her kitty face intensifies when she hears someone else play music and how music brings her into such ecstasy that she needs to rub herself all over the keys.  I pawlaud you Nora!

P.S.  Thanks to Kip for sharing this with me.

I got my wish

It is always a great feeling when I get my wish.  This time I closed my eyes really tight and squeezed my paws and wished for a place in Pawtucket.  And after swearing to the kitten goddess up in catnip heaven, I got my wish - Kip and B got a place in Pawtucket.

I am going to post some pics here, but let me point one thing our first: it is a loft, which means that there are some build ins that will allow me to roam freely above the heads of my humans.  I just need to learn how to climb ladders.  But I am limber and my paws are well maintained for such a fun adventure.

Now, I just have to be patient, because it looks like we will not move till July.

Hotlanta

B went to Atlanta for a conference this week and I get to spend some quality time with Kip.  He is a good snuggler.  He never moves when I lay on hi slap.  B constantly has to get up to either go to the bathroom or get a drink or pick up her cell phone.  She is obsessed with that thing, always checking her emails.  It buzzes and she has to pick it up.  I look at her saying "Is this really necessary at 8pm at night?"  In order to avoid that look from me she even tries to pick up the food with her toes.  Yes, believe me, I have seen it.  Crazy!

She will be back from Atlanta tonight and while I love Kip, B shaves her legs and that is a much nicer experience for me when I lay under the covers.

Pawtucket

Wednesday, April 18th, 2007

My humans are very stressed out about the condo search in RI.  Apparently, the taxes are very high and they don’t want to give all their money to the state, but rather to me and maybe a new addition (well, I am not a big fan of dogs, but whatever makes them happy).  They also put a bid down on one place, but the counter offer was to high and they had to let go of it.  Now, they are looking at places in Pawtucket.  I think that town may actually work out for them.  Not only can they get more for their money and pay less taxes, but we would also live in a place that honors felines.  Why else would they have called it PAWtucket!

Back to Black

B is making me listen to this for days now.  What is up with female humans and dramatic love songs.  Gezzzz… I’d say "find yourself a man that is available and sing about something happy."

Knut update

Apparently, Germany’s favorite polar bear is going through the pains of growing up while getting his first teeth.  I’d say "give him some schnaps".

P.S.  German’s call polar bears ‘ice bears’.  Ah, those Teutons.

Macavity

I am surprised that everyone thinks this is so unusual.  Even we felines prefer a ride rather than a walk to a fish and chip restaurant.

Never far behind…

are the German.  They have their own Sanjaya.  I’d like to keep my paws over my ears and close my eyes.  What is that fur in his face?
