I am trying to convince B to let us take part in being Foster parents for other animals that need a temporary shelter. I have been trying to prove that I can be the main caretaker during the hours she is work. But she is not convinced and says that I still have a lot of growing up to do, as I would be the one that these little ones would look up to. Apparently, my recent run ins with the decorative straw on the fireplace is a major issue. Sigh… But just imagine we would have someone like this in hours house. I would teach that kitten a thing or two.
Kip sent this article to B and I. I thought it was hilarious and cute, but B obviously thought otherwise. She was pretty mad at Kip for sending such explicit article to what she considers a feline youngster. The fact, however, is that I am almost out of my teens in human years. Thus, a little sex talk won’t harm my feline ears and since my tubes were tied a long time ago, there is certainly no fear that this article would stimulate me to do the "dirty". B needs to chill out and get me some Greenies, because we have been out of that feline snack food for almost a month now.
B said that it was 7 F when she left the house this morning. I don’t quite understand how any human or feline can go out in this weather, but she said that she has to make us some money. In the meantime, I am enjoying myself on the radiator. It’s my favorite spot in the winter time. The radiator is so hot and I can look at the window, which is actually quite drafty. B says that I feel like a "Baked Alaska", cold on the back due to the draft and steamy hot on my belly from the radiator. I like being compared to sweet things, especially since I have been a little naughty lately.
B has these straw things on the mantle of the fireplace and I like to chew on them. Usually I just pull on stalk out and play with it a little. But yesterday, I got a little wild and wanted more. In the process of pulling out multiple stalks, the vase tipped over and all the stalks scattered on the floor. It was such a mess. I tried to clean things up before B got home, but my paws are just not conducive to such work. I was ashamed of myself. Needless to say that B was peeved when she got home. For the first time ever, she even threatened to bring me back to the shelter. For the rest of the night, I tried to be especially sweet and when she jumped into bed I voluntarily warmed her cold human feet.
Well, let’s hope that she want make the threat come true. Keep an eye on my blog and if I do not write in a couple days, you know what happened. Then, call up B and tell her she is not a nice human.
Maybe I should up the anty, because I certainly cannot currently compete with these fellows when it comes to New Years resolutions.
Tonight I am so proud of my favorite male human. Kip got a call from Brown University today requesting an interview for a possible acceptance into their PhD program. Wow, can you believe how smart that boy is? I can hardly grasp with my little kitten brain. And maybe, his research will one day allow me to harvest all my feline brain power and become the smartest kitten in the world - or at least Massachusetts. How rockin’ would that be?
For now, I am hoping that the other school will also call Kip. He applied to UC Santa Barbara, University of Pittsburgh and Tufts. Well, whoever is not going to call him surely would show a lack in good selection criteria. Kip is not just smart, but really cute. (Yes, I am allowed to say that. This post has been fully approved by B.)
How funny is this. Here is what I would get:
Or as a German kitten would say "Frohes Neues Jahr". Here are my resolutions for 2007:
What are your resolutions? I am always curious what others (humans and felines) try to accomplish.
