Trick or Treating

Monday, October 31st, 2005

Trick or Treating sure is fun and scary. I usually spent the day looking out at the window near the front porch. I often wonder what the world is like outside and whom I could meet. I am a very social kitten and enjoy the occasional visit. But most peeps just visit B and I WANT my own friends.

So, this evening, I took the opportunity of an open door, some screaming youngster and a distracted B, handing out candy, and snuck out behind her. I jumped right off the proch and hid below it. After the youngster where gone, I stayed in my spot and waited till B went inside. Then I tolled around in the dry leaves. Oh, what fun! All those noises and the smell. I love that smell.

I heard B calling my name inside, but if I would have given up where I was she would have started picking me up and carrying me back inside. Then I probably would have had to listen to some sort of speech about responsibility and scary animals and diseases one could catch outside. ALL BIG SMOKE! She is so out to scare me. She so does not want me to be outside. But, I am a really big kitten and I could handle it. Betcha?!

Well, after a while it did get really scary outside. There is this big cat, who weighs about 10 lbs more than me and it (yes, I don’t know if it is a boy or girl) makes those weird noises. It sure tried to snap at me. I ran away from my spot and around the house. B came out and started calling me again. Her voice was cracking and she could have been crying. What a baby she is! Well, at this point with some big monster cat chasing me, I felt like crying too. So, I ran towards B and asked to be taken inside.

PHEWWW! One bullet dodged, but I do wish I could play more in the leaves. Anyone ever thought about a big kitten cage for the outide? You know, kinda like a dog house, but for kittens. Sure, would make some money off that invention. But don’t think you can just go to market with that idea without giving me the proper credit. You heard it here FIRST.

Eagles and Halloween costumes

The EAGLES are loosing and Kip is a bit upset about this. Me - I could care less for men in tight pants. I honestly don’t even like Kater (that is the German word for a male cat… see, I can teach you something.) Our neighbors have a Kater. His name is Toby and he comes and visits every once in a while. At first, I was pretty curious about him, but then I got bored. All he did was sniff my food and lay down, snoring away. Is that really all what men and Katers do?

Here is a new picture of me. I am playing with the box that came with B’s costume. She ordered it online, paid 35USD for it and then never went to the Halloween party last night. Can you believe that? I wish I could have fit into the dress. I would have been the HOTTEST kitten in town.Dsc04215_2

On being coy

Saturday, October 29th, 2005

This morning, I received a mesage from Richard, who complained that I always run away from him when he sees me. Apparently, he does not understand that a 160 lbs man just looks intimidating to me. Plus, every once in a while I like to play coy. I learned that from B.

So, to all the peeps who visit me on occasion: Don’t take my running away as a sign that I don’t like you. I really do. That is why I sniff you, purr around you and wiggle my cute little tush.

Off to Yoga now… I do a mean down dawg!

Off to Europe

Welcome to my blog! (I chose purple crush as the template, because I love purple.)

I have never blogged before and maybe it is unusal for a kitten to do this. But I have things to say and I want everyone to note that I can have an opinion. Meow!

Today, I read this story about a kitten that made it all the way to France. (http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20051028/ap_on_fe_st/stowaway_cat;_ylt=ArTD2y7zRLg6sR.3xAv1zfIDW7oF;_ylu=X3oDMTBiMW04NW9mBHNlYwMlJVRPUCUl). I wonder what it is like in France. They say that French people are snobbish. Does that also apply to cats?

Now, what makes me upset about the blog is the fact that these people don’t even seem to want their cat back. They complain that there was cost when they adopted her and now it will cost even more to get her back. That is so lame! Who would not pay to get a cat back? They chose to have her in the first place, they should be held responsible to bring her back.

Halloween is coming up soon. I am thinking about being the small dog from 101 Dalmatians. Now, that would be a screamer. Meooooooowww!
